AssetCo Data Solutions Ltd becomes 3tc Software Ltd

3tc Software’s Non Executive Board Director, Phil Toase CBE QFSM DL BSc MCGI FIFireE, acquired a minority shareholding under the new structure. Phil is a former long serving Chief Fire Officer who served at West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service throughout his career and was awarded a CBE for services to the Fire & Rescue Service and the Queen’s Fire Service Medal.

The opportunity to acquire the 70% shareholding arose following a strategic review of the group’s business interests, and it was decided at this point that it would be in the best interests of both organisations to sever the 5 year relationship. This new chapter in our business history will allow the business to remain focused on our core products (Command and Control, Patient Transport, Mobile Data & Management Information Systems) within the Emergency Service market. The long term strategic plan for 3tc Software is to continue to provide software solutions around mission critical applications to the Emergency Services across the world. We will continue to develop our leading edge software to stay at the forefront of change within this demanding environment.

3tc Software has deployments throughout the UK, Southern Ireland, Belgium, Malaysia, Australia, Tasmania, and New Zealand, all of which are supported through our customer services centre in Leicester. The structure of the business will remain wholly unchanged, however in order to penetrate deeper into the Global markets there will be some redefining of positions; David Todd now becomes Chief Executive Officer, Simon Clough becomes the Chief Technology Officer and Steve Taylor takes a Product Director position.

Over the last 5 years the company has undergone significant growth, from 2004 with a turnover of £2.2m with a staff headcount of 22 to a turnover of £4.8m with a staff headcount of 43 in 2009. The changes in the last 5 years have paved the way in building firm foundations to better address the UK and the wider global Emergency Services market. Our investment in sales and marketing, software development, engineering and support staff is crucial in ensuring we continue to build a sustainable business with year on year growth, with firm commitment to supporting our customers.
