Charity Bike Ride |
|
| David Todd, MD at AssetCo Data Solutions took part in the ‘Chiefs Challenge charity bike ride’ from the NEC Birmingham to the fire station memorial garden in Stratford Upon Avon. The garden was built to honour the four fire fighters who tragically lost their lives in a blaze at Atherstone on Stour, in November 2007.
David completed the challenge in 75 minutes covering a distance of 27 miles. His 15 fellow challengers were from a variety of commercial organisations and Chief Fire Officers from UK brigades. Nearly £10,000 in total was raised for the Fire Fighters Charity.
The Fire Fighters Charity was set up to support fire fighters in their times of need offering vital support services, assisting in excess of 13,000 individuals every year. It costs over £9 million per annum to keep the Charity running, and with no government funding, they are completely reliant upon donations and fundraising.
