Meridian is a high specification visual planning and scheduling system that allows users to monitor resource deployment and demand allocation. Both NHS and Private Ambulance Services use the Meridian system to manage their Patient Transport Services for non-urgent patients. Meridian is an NHS compliant solution based on Microsoft SQL Server 2005. Meridian is also used by Local Authorities for the management of community transport, social services transport and home to school transport.

Meridian is a real-time multi-lingual and multi-functional solution. Meridian consists of four interrelated modules. Firstly a client reservation and management module. Secondly a planning and scheduling module with automatic and semi-automatic scheduling tools. This is integrated with a GIS mapping display where users can view the areas where demand is geographically located and where resources positioned via AVLS tracking. A day control service manager with integral mapping display and management information system, allows flexible and detailed performance, demand and contract managing. Communication facilities such as PDAs, GPS tracking, email, fax, paging and text messaging to mobile phones is also integrated.

Meridian is designed to fit the need of each individual customer. It can be customised for the user so that the language, nomenclature, definitions, phraseology, icons and colours meet individual expectations. Meridian requires minimal system maintenance. Automatic archiving, automatic backup and replication are set as standard. A full statistics report generator module is also incorporated into the design with a user friendly data report generator.
